About Me
My name is Naomi Lavan, I am 18 years old. I am currently a music student at riverside music college where I was given the opportunity to create and release my own track to start my career as a musician.
Due to the Global pandemic, I had to opt for a smaller release. I have now released my first single Dandelion now available on all platforms.
Creating this song was quite a challenge as it was the first time that I had ever had a song taken further than on paper.
However, this experience was extremely exciting and I hope that you enjoy listening to my single as much as I enjoyed making it :)
My Music Experience
For the months of May and July I worked with other musicians to co-host and perform in a school gig. We worked on Stage plans, Stage set up, Rehearsal set up, People management, Ticket sales and Live performance. We worked as a team to achieve these goals.
My duties in the performance were to create a twenty-minute set with my partner. We made sure that the set suit both of our styles and worked with our skills and not against them. We were also up against some larger bands with 5-6 members in each, so we realised we needed to have one song that would make us stand out.
We decided to create a Mashup of songs that were popular in media at that time. This came to be a ten-minute-long Mashup with six or seven songs, the main song we decided to tie all of them together was Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.
